On Friday, 9 October, we celebrated World Mental Health Day with a vibrant wave of colour. More than 200 people walked from La Concha Promenade to the Kursaal Congress Centre to raise awareness of mental health and promote inclusion.
The event brought together service users and professionals from various mental health centres and hospitals collaborating with Why Not (Mentalia Usurbil, Aita Menni Arrasate-Irun-Donostia, Sarea Fundazioa Donostia, Bagara, Batuz and Villa Sacramento). Everyone wore T-shirts of the same colour to symbolise the unity and strength of the mental health community.
The day also featured a dance therapy workshop led by Amaia Fernández del Olmo and her team, bringing rhythm and joy to the end of the walk.
