The volunteer employees of CaixaBank gave us the opportunity to discover the Hondalea sculpture together with them, installed in the lighthouse building on Santa Clara Island. As part of the bank’s Social Month initiative, they have organized a variety of activities across different communities and, among many other associations, they chose to include us.
The trip to the island gave us the opportunity to talk about what each of us does and get to know one another a little better. Once there, we enjoyed a guided tour led by members of Cristina Enea Fundazioa, which concluded at Hondalea, the artwork created by artist Cristina Iglesias. The sculpture consists of a large bronze vessel that recreates images of the seabed of San Sebastián Bay and the nearby coastline. Inside the vessel, water flows in rhythm with the tides.
